Sewer & Stormwater Systems. What’s the difference? What do I need to know about them?
We’ve got a simple guide for you below!
Sewer System
Your properties sewer system is made up of all the pipes from your bathroom, kitchen and laundry. These pipes transfer sewerage to waste facilities where it is filtered and treated.
Stormwater System
Your storm water system is made up of the gutters, downpipes, pits and drains that collect and carry rainwater away from your house. This water is not treated and goes directly into local water catchments.
Lets Compare!
Both your sewer and stormwater systems are in constant use and are critical to the functionality within and outside your home. The efficiency of these systems is only optimized when they are clear and clean.
When they are not clear, blockages are more likely to occur and as a result, water may be unable to drain from within your home or outside your home. You may be able to smell bad odours from your sewer drains or you may even hear gurgling noises from the pipes. If you experience any of these things, your sewer and stormwater systems need to be inspected and the problems need to be addressed.
Here at Gallant we have a range of equipment such as cables, sewer machines and jet pressure units that are used to remove blockages within the sewer and stormwater systems. If further investigations are required we also have CCTV specialists to diagnose and locate the exact problem.
