Friends and colleagues have asked me over the last few months why are you changing your company’s name. Why the rebrand?
It’s a really valid question especially when the business and the business name have been around since the 1970’s.
My business partner Scott and myself have recently purchased an existing plumbing business, which certainly has a lot of goodwill. But like most trade businesses in Melbourne that have not recently spent much time and energy on improvement within their business, it comes with a few bumps and bruises as well.
I’m a massive believer in the fact that people do business with people that they simply like and trust. So if the business already has those well-established personal connections and relationships it really shouldn’t matter if you’re called Arthur or Martha.
The reason we both entered this industry is because of what is currently out there. We are truly passionate about building a business that is changing the landscape of the trades and we are constantly talking about ‘redefining what it means to be, and do business with a tradie’. So the fact was, in order to embark on this change and step away from the old and into the new. We had to release the shackles from the last ten or so years of trade.
To signify the company’s exciting new direction, Cashmore Plumbing was named to Gallant Plumbing. The word gallant represents the business’s philosophy: a dedication to remarkable customer experience and determination to challenge the stereotypical experience of hiring a tradie.
We are extraordinarily excited about our new direction and vision and believe that people and businesses within Melbourne deserve a truckload better than the current status quo.
We believe the plumbing industry needs a massive shake up, so we’re leading the way on this one.
