Our team were called out to a site in Prahran with a reported water leak appearing in their foyer. This water leak in Prahran was perceived to be a safety hazard and was potentially causing damage to the structure of the property. When our plumbers arrived on site they inspected the issue at hand and spoke to someone on site.
The first step was to identify where the leak was coming from. Our professional plumber used leak detection equipment to determine the locality of the leak. It was found to be appearing under the concrete floor near a set of diabled toilets. The plumber determined that it was necessary to excavate the floor in these disabled toilets to access the leaking pipe.
Excavating exposed a burst 15mm copper pipe under the concrete slab, which needed to be replaced. Our plumber replaced the pipe and put protective lagging around it for additional protection. They then went on to repair the broken stormwater pipe and then backfilled the hole made with compact sand. Finally, the plumber the reinstated the concrete floor and reinstated the wall and floor tiles.
Before leaving site, we ensured it was in better condition than when we had arrived and informed the client of what we had found and how we resolved it. We always ensure our clients feel confident in the service we have provided them before we leave the site.
