We were recently called for toilet plumbing repair out to a property in Ivanhoe for a client who’s toilet was continually running. They were also requesting we replace their existing ceramic basin due to the existing one being cracked.
Arriving on-site, our Melbourne plumber investigated the leaking toilet which he found to be caused by a dilapidated consumable seal within the inlet valve. In order to resolve this issue, our plumber supplied and fitted a new replacement inlet valve as required. He then purchased a spare seal kit as requested by the client.

The next issue our plumber was attending to was the existing hand basin which needed replacement. This process required the plumber to be extra cautious, due to the vanity being attached to the wall. Once the silicone was removed and the existing basin was removed, the new basin could then be installed.
After installing the new basin, the plumber then fitted a new plug and waste to suit the basin, as the existing seal had perished when removing the original basin.
The final thing to do was to test that the new instalment was fully functioning. We had to check both the basin and the toilet. Because our plumbers are always up to date with training and equipped with the latest plumbing knowledge, the new instalment was fully functioning.
