Recently, Galant Plumbing was called out for Roof Repair Works in Ivanhoe East. After arriving for quotation the job went underway for new roof flashings to the side area of the house.
Our Roof Plumber removed a small section of plaster internal to the residence ready for the leak detection test. After this, our plumber was able to access the roof area and conduct leak detection testing to the roof to ensure the origin of water ingress. Our plumber then removed the rain-head and cleaned out the existing box gutter of debris. Maintenance roof cleans can assist in having fewer roof leaks and reducing the damage they may cause. Our plumber supplied the customer a new L type flashing and installed it on the left-hand side of the roof area. He then secured the new flashing to the existing wall and extended into the first roof tray area. Our roof plumber removed all silicone to all existing flashing and box gutter joins before resealing them with a high strength roof silicone. He then supplied the customer with a new overflow and installed it into the existing box gutter. The last new piece needed was a new rain -head as well along with new 90mm pop and a 50mm overflow.
Finally, we reinstalled 90mm PVC pipe from the rain-head to the water tank correctly. This was because the previous connection was leaking, creating part of the problem. Our plumber finished up the works by performing a second leak detection test. He tested all other works and proceeded to remove additional debris from the site.
