Our Melbourne plumbers were recently called to a repair job in Coburg, where a residential property required a roof repair service. At Gallant, we know a roof repair can be an extensive job. Our skilled plumbers attended this job and were able to resolve the issue promptly, using tried and tested expert solutions. We began by identifying where the problem was originating from. We then sealed 100mm penetrations internally, to prevent any leakage. Externally, we used flashing on the identified penetrations to further seal the area.
We then secured the underside of the sump, to ensure that it was working effectively to prevent any flooding or leaking. Following on from this, we also added new side flashings, and sealed around the dektite.
We also inspected the ridge capping, and decided to remove all screws, before sealing underneath the flashing with silicon for further insurance against leaking. We then re-screwed everything back in place.
Once we had tended to the finer details, we inspected the whole site, to ensure we hadn’t missed any other potential problems. There were a few small isolated issues which we sealed off to prevent any issues from developing in the future.
