Roof Leak in St Kilda
Gallant Plumbing were recently called out to a roof leak in St Kilda. We sent our best Melbourne plumbers to attend the leak.
Our best plumbers accessed the roof and investigated four roof leaks. There were three in the warehouse on the south side, one along the wall under the box gutter and another one in multiple areas on the north west side of the lower office space.

Upon further investigation, our Melbourne plumbers found the warehouse leaks could be coming from multiple areas. The box gutter in the area is rusting in multiple spots. On top of this, the roof sheet laps aren’t pulling down between the sheets to make a tight seal.
To solve this, our plumbers undersealed five sheet laps in areas 1 and 2 for warehouse leaks. As well as over seal cracks in the roof sheets and on knock ins.
Our best Melbourne plumbers also removed a roof sisalation which was drawing water from the base of the box gutter, into the roof space in two areas. Continuing on, our best plumbers undersealed the lap above the office leak, turned down tray under flashing in area, sealed 4 cracks in the roof sheets around the area and over sealed any potential water ingress points in area.
To finish the job, our Melbourne plumbers cleaned, and packed up the area.
