Roof Leak in Carnegie

Gallant Plumbing were recently called out to a roof leak in Carnegie. We sent our best Melbourne plumber to solve the issue.

When we attended the site, our plumber met with the client to discuss the roof leak.

Firstly, our best Melbourne plumber located the ceiling in the room where the leak is. It was raining upon arrival, however the ceiling was not too wet. We suspect the leak only appears when there is torrential rain. Our best plumber waited for the rain to stop so that they could access the roof.

Once the roof has been accessed, our Melbourne plumber found the location on the roof above where the hole in the ceiling is. The leak is located next to a skylight. The roof has previously been sealed, but unfortunately we were unable to seal any of the joints as the roof was very wet.

Once returning to the site, we found that roof had dried sufficiently over night. We are now able to seal with new sealant. Our best Melbourne plumber accessed the roof and found that the end of the roof sheet next to skylight had a crack and was wet inside of old sealant.

Our best plumber cleaned up the area over the old sealant and applied grey storm sealant on all the overlaps and roof sheet ends. Once completed, our Melbourne plumber cleaned up, packed up and reported to the client that we have completed the work.
