Our experienced plumbers at Gallant Plumbing were recently called out to a site in the Melbourne suburb of Mulgrave for residential plumbing. Then the expert plumber identified the site’s water was not working and there was no water from the supplier side. It was here that they determined this by disassembling the water meter and tried removing the stop tap altogether. Unfortunately, there was still no water coming from the taps.
The neighbouring house connected a hose to try and force pressure to the supply pipe. This attempt was unsuccessful. The water meter was reassembled and a call was lodged with the water authority. A technician from the water authority visited to a nearby construction site and accessed the civil drawings. There was another isolation valve between the water meter isolation valve and the main water supply as standard installation detail.
Next we returned to the Mulgrave site and the water supply line was traced. The next isolation valve was situated in the garden. It was here that we noticed that the isolation valve was closed due to the gland leaking significantly. Then our plumber stopped the leak by re-tightening the gland. The client was advised that if the tap started leaking again that it should be replaced. Finally, our professional plumber then tested the site’s internal plumbing to make sure everything was operating correctly for our client.
