Residential Plumbing in Brighton

Our team at Gallant Plumbing was recently called out to a site in the Melbourne suburb of Brighton for residential plumbing. The site had galvanised pipes in the water supply system that needed to be replaced. These galvanised pipes were making the bathwater come out brown and needed to be replaced. 

Firstly, our professional plumber identified that the ducted heating system in front of the house had its thermostat disconnected and removed. Since the property was very old, there were concerns about whether some of the parts needed were not available. Access to the property was limited and there was no access to check ductwork. Finally, our plumber suggested replacing heating in the front of the house with a split system to resolve this issue.

After inspecting the issues, a universal showerhead rose was used in the back bathroom to replace the old one. The toilet’s cistern inlet washer was replaced using a cistern washer card as well. Then the front bathroom basin’s tap washers and o-rings were replaced too. Our plumber also determined that the left-hand side kitchen sink plug and washer needed replacing with a 50mm since they were leaking.
