Mount Waverley Gas Leak

Gallant Plumbing recently were called out to a Mount Waverley gas leak. We sent our best Melbourne plumber to fix the leak.

Our best plumber arrived on site and met with the client who pointed out the location of the gas leak. It was in the deteriorating galvanised pipe at the front of the property. 

To begin, our Melbourne plumber has begun removing some adhesive tape that has been put over the galvanised pipe leak, and started soap testing for leak location. Additionally, we installed a galvanised pipe repair coupling to the damaged galvanise pipe and tightened. Afterward, our plumber soap tested the leak area and found no leaks present.

Following on, our best Melbourne plumber tested all joins and fittings between the leak area and the front gas meter. No leaks are found in this area.

Our best plumber explained to the client that this would be a temporary fix to the gas leak. As a result, a replacement pipe will be required as a permanent fix to the issue. Following on, we advised that if future gas leaks occur at this or other locations, that Gallant Plumbing be notified immediately for rectification work.
