Malvern Hot Water Service
Gallant Plumbing were recently called out to a Malvern hot water service. We sent our best Melbourne plumber to fix the issue.
Firstly, our Melbourne plumber met with the client and began investigating a hot water service which is not getting warm enough. Before any investigation, our best plumber conducted a temperature reading and found the water temperature to be 35°C.
Continuing on, our plumber removed the hot water service cover and visually inspected the components. The heat exchanger, pilot assembly and main burner assemblies looked ok, and no visual leaks were seen from the water throttle.
To check the burner pressure, our best Melbourne plumber attached a manometer to the main burner. He found it was too low. To resolve this, our best plumber turned up the HWS water throttle to the maximum, opened fixture outlet fully, adjusted and set correct burner pressure.
Our Melbourne plumber then checked the water temperature whilst operating and it was 65°C. As a result, we turned down the water throttle to obtain 50°C.
Our best Melbourne plumber checked this reading several times and operated hot water service for a period of time to establish if any fluctuations were occurring. He found the temperature to be stable.
Finally, our best plumber met with the client to discuss the work he had completed.
