Our Melbourne plumber had recently attended to an emergency plumbing job in Burwood. It’s important we attend to emergencies in a timely, professional manner, which ensures that we resolve our client’s issue in as timely a manner as possible. A burst pipe is an emergency and has the potential to escalate a water bill dramatically. Additionally, it can also cause damage to a property.
The Details
Upon arriving onsite, our professional plumber allowed the client to explain the issue at hand. The client informed the plumber that the burst pipe was at the front of the building and that the water had already been isolated. The burst pipe was underground and required excavation to resolve the issue. Furthermore, excavation works found that the galvanized pipe was rusted through. Our plumber removed the old riser to the garden tap and replaced it with a new one. The next step was to reconnect the outside tap and switch the water back on. Our plumber did this to ensure that the leak was no longer present.
When switching the water back on, our plumber tested the structure. He found that there was no longer a leak present. The next step for the plumber was to return the soil to the excavated area.
After completing the works, our plumber recommended to install a pipe support bracket under the riser pipe. This would provide additional support to the pipe.
Before leaving the site, we informed the client of what we had done and why. We always want to leave the client feeling confident and happy with the work we provided them.
