Carlton Gas Works
Gallant Plumbing were recently called out for Carlton gas works. We sent out best Melbourne plumber to solve the issue.
Firstly, our best plumber met with the client to discuss the issue that has occurred. He then made sure all 3 appliances had their gas valves turned off (ducted heater, hot water and hot plates). There was no gas valve on the hot plates, although it was capped off allowing us to test the main line up to 7kpa.
Our Melbourne plumber found it dropped sharply so we began bubble testing any exposed joins. A major leak was identified on a brass barrel nut. As a result, we sourced materials and replaced this section.
Following on, our plumber began installing a new gas regulator and gas valve inside the cabinet. This is for the hot plates to bring it all up to regulation. Tested the line again and there was still a small leak with the 20mm compression nut on the gas valve for the ducted heater leaking.

Our best Melbourne plumber tightened the join and re tested the line. It all held at 7kpa for over 5 mins. Following this, he opened the gas valves and tested the appliances at 1.75 kpa and that also passed.
To finish the job, all appliances have been commissioned and the gas is now fixed, including the faulty regulator.
Our Melbourne plumber informed the client of all the work that had been completed and cleaned up any associated mess.
