They first attempted to plunge the sewer clean, but found the blockage was rooted deeper and stronger measures were required. This was found to be mostly successful, however as it was draining slowly, they thought a blockage could still exist. The sewer machine cables kept getting caught so the plumbers thought there could be a broken or collapsed pipe.
