Blocked Drain in Balwyn

Gallant Plumbing were recently called out to a blocked drain in Balwyn. We sent our best Melbourne Plumber to solve the issue.

Our best plumber arrived at the site and met with the client to discuss the problem at the property.

Firstly, our Melbourne plumber accessed the site and set up a safe working area. He then gained access into the drain through visible and exposed access with a jet machine from the down pipe access points. 

Secondly, our plumber began clearing the drain using the Hydrostatic jet. Blockages and hindrances within the stormwater drain were cleared until an intrusion was hit. Our best Melbourne plumber could not gain access with the camera due to all the bends used on the drain installation. As a result, he stuck the jet up the drain in the storm water pit at the front of the driveway. This was all clear until an intrusion was hit.

Our best plumber then stuck a camera down and found root intrusion where an old Jacaranda tree was. Following on, our Melbourne plumber stuck the jet up the drain where it discharged into the road. He only got up about 1.5m before more roots were hit and possibly a collapsed drain. Our plumber concluded that the storm water drain on the front right hand side of the property is broken and full of roots. This is most likely from the Jacaranda tree which was in the exact location of where all the breakages, blockages and root intrusions were.

Our best Melbourne plumber then packed up and cleaned the site. We spoke to the client and informed them of our findings and gave them possible options of rectifying the issue.
