The Australian Plumbing Magazine spoke to Gallant Plumbing director Scott Robinson about all things Plumbing, career changes and business. 

After more than 20 years working as a plumber, Scott took a year off to renovate the family home. During this time, Scott kept seeing job ads for plumbing teachers, working 2 days a week at Victoria University TAFE. Scott ended up teaching there for the next 10 years. In 2011, Scott was recognised as Trainer of the year and also won the prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s award for educational leadership. The award recognised the e-learning course Scott developed allowing students to progress their Certificate III in plumbing at their own pace. 

Missing being on the tools, Scott went back to plumbing and began working in the pre purchase inspection field. Here he met his future business partner Edward Clark, who invited Scott to become a partner in the plumbing business he had recently purchased. 

In 2016, the business was rebranded to Gallant Plumbing; a new modern plumbing business, led by remarkable customer service. “We are passionate about customer service. I see the service industry like a cafe in the sense that people spend money with you and expect you’ll do the job well and hassle free.”
