The Worboys Story
97 years ago in 1921, George M Worboys purchased a bankrupt plumbing business which he renamed GM Worboys, operating out of the Melbourne CBD. In 1926, George became a member of the Master Plumbers and in 1935 welcomed Harry Pearson & George Tresidder to the team.
The Company has been fortunate to have an extraordinary team over its time, with the likes of Peter Jensen and Geoff Tresidder, both staying with the business for over 35 years; Geoff still with us today.
There is no greater representation of the Worboys brand than Geoff; his professionalism, hard work, plumbing knowledge and customer service is profound.
The Business has moved a number of times in their 97 years, but have always stayed within an arm’s reach of the CBD. This has enabled them to service their many clients including, The Royal and Block Arcade, The Shrine of Remembrance, Parliament, Federation Square and The Old Mint.
2018 saw the merger of Worboys Plumbing and Gallant Plumbing, signifying a new direction change and modern approach to the Worboys service. The merger has embraced the addition of new technology, and sophistication in the way our clients are serviced. Bringing together the old and the new, provides us with an unparalleled knowledge base and a new-found passion for shaking up the trades industry. With these assets under our belt, we intend on wowing our fantastic clients, each and every time we step into their presence.
