Recently, Gallant Plumbing was requested for some residential plumbing in Fairfield to supply and install a new Rinnai Hot Water System. We sent out our best plumber in Melbourne for the job along with another hot water plumber to get the job done. Here’s how they went.
The plumbers checked the cold-water pressure and pre-tested the gas line with appliances connected. Following this, they drained and then disconnected the existing solar electric boosted HWS and solar collector. This allowed them to safely remove the hot water system.
After removing the HWS, they installed a new gas line from the front left-hand side of the building and ran under the house to connect to the new hot water position. They positioned the new Rinnai on the wall and drilled holes in the wall to accommodate the new pipe positions. They filled all the existing holes in the wall with grey T-rex sealant so it would be ready for painting. Finally, they connected to gas, cold water, 20mm tempering valve and hot water outlet pipes.
They retested gas and the pressure held, meaning there were no leaks. After this, our plumbers reinstated the gas supply and lighted all appliances. They adjusted the gas pressures with all appliances running. Afterwards, they reinstated the cold water and bled air from the fixtures. Finally, they set and adjusted the tempering valve to 48 degrees, which was the maximum for the unit.
Well done to our two awesome plumbers for successfully installing this hot water system in Fairfield! For plumbing services in Melbourne call Gallant Plumbing on 1300 830 956, or contact us here. We look forward to hearing from you!
